Asghar Rizvi is a social activist, community director and visionary. He is the founding member of several community projects, including past President and presently a member of the Board of Directors of the Zainabia Islamic Society and Los Angeles Jaloos Committee. He is the Head and Chief Advisor of a consortium of social activists that have produced projects like IslamicLibrary.com and MuslimConverts.org. He is a councilor in the Shia Muslim Council of Southern California and a member of the Muslim Burial Organization of Los Angeles. He also directs the local Southern California chapter of the organization for rebuilding of Jannat-ul-Baqee. He has recently launched Islamic Ziyarat, a professional tour company that donates 33% of its earnings to the educational projects of local non-profit charitable organizations. Asghar Rizvi has a passion for working on issues that encourage the unity of the Muslim community. He has a Masters degree in Economics and Electrical Engineering. For the past 25 years, he has been running his own local businesses. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer and President of Islamic Ziyarat.
Imam Mustafa Akhound was born in the city of Isfahan, Iran, to a distinguished family known for its leadership, and dedication to serving Islam and the Muslim community. His father is Imam Makki Akhound. He studied 4 years in prominent seminaries in Qum, Iran and in Syria, and currently he is continuing his seminary studies online. When he was 14 year old, Imam Mustafa and his family migrated to the United States of America. He grew up in Northern Virginia, where he began his academic studies. Imam Mustafa received his AA in liberal Art from the Northern Virginia Community College 2007. He is currently enrolled in an accelerated MA degree in Middle Eastern and Religious Studies. Imam Mustafa speaks Arabic, Farsi, and English fluently and frequently lectures across the United States and other parts of the world, and is known for his ability to connect with and influence Muslim youth, especially those living in the West. He strongly believes in the potential of the propagation of Islamic teachings and values, and therefore has committed himself to that cause. He is the Imam of one of the largest mosque in Northern Virginia, Imam Ali Center, In Springfield, VA. He is also currently the tour Imam of Islamic Ziyarat.
